What is SIP trunking?

A SIP trunk is your call center’s voice connection over the internet, and the core of any call center VoIP setup. Your dialer or PBX hands calls to our network, and we carry them to the phone network, with no physical lines to order and no hardware to rack. Our trunks are built for outbound call center traffic: lots of short calls, fast call setup and dialers that pace by the second. They work with Vicidial, GoAutoDial, Asterisk/FreePBX and 3CX.

Where do your calls go?

Over Tier-1 carrier routes. USA routing is our standard service, and we offer other countries for high-volume clients. Tell us your destinations and expected volumes, and we’ll quote the routes that fit. We’d rather put your calls on a route we trust than shave a fraction off by cutting corners. Share your expected concurrent calls up front, so we can size your trunk for peak dialing, not an average Tuesday afternoon.

How fast can I be dialing?

Usually within the hour. Here’s the path from "hello" to live traffic:

  1. Tell us about your floor: seat count, dialer platform, destinations, expected concurrency and the caller IDs you’ll use.
  2. Get your quote. Pricing depends on your volume, and quotes usually come back the same day.
  3. Connect. Choose IP authentication (we allow your dialer’s static public IP) or registration (username and password). We share the connection details and supported codecs.
  4. Test together. We place test calls with you before production traffic. Turn-up usually takes under an hour.
  5. Scale. Add capacity, destinations or DID numbers as your campaigns grow.

How does it fit into my stack?

PlatformWhere the trunk goes
VicidialAdmin → Carriers: account entry, globals string and dialplan entry
GoAutoDialThe carrier settings in the GoAutoDial admin
Asterisk / FreePBXA PJSIP trunk plus your outbound routes
3CXA SIP trunk set up as a generic provider

Which caller IDs can I send?

Only numbers you own or are authorized to use. DIDs from Connectivity King get A-level attestation and work as caller ID right away. Want to use a number from another provider? Our support team confirms your authorization before we enable it. Signing helps receiving carriers authenticate your calls, but reputation still comes down to how you call: consent, clean lists and sensible pacing. Our guide Does STIR/SHAKEN Stop Spam Labels? explains the difference.

  • BPOs running several client campaigns, each with caller IDs they’re authorized to use
  • Asterisk/FreePBX and 3CX teams moving from physical lines to SIP
  • Call centers outside the US that call US numbers. You can sign up from anywhere.
  • High-volume operations that need routes beyond the USA

Frequently asked questions

What is SIP trunking?
SIP trunking delivers phone lines over the internet to your dialer or PBX instead of over physical phone lines. Your system connects to our network, and calls route through it to the phone network.
Do your SIP trunks work with Vicidial?
Yes. Our trunks work with Vicidial, GoAutoDial, Asterisk/FreePBX, 3CX and other SIP-compatible platforms. Our blog has a step-by-step guide to adding a SIP trunk carrier in Vicidial.
Which countries can I call?
USA routing is our standard service. We offer routes to other countries for high-volume clients. Tell us your destinations and volumes when you request a quote.
How much does SIP trunking cost?
Pricing depends on your volume and destinations, so we quote each account individually. Request a quote and we usually reply the same day.
Are outbound calls signed with STIR/SHAKEN?
Yes. Outbound calls are signed with STIR/SHAKEN, which helps receiving carriers verify that you're allowed to use the caller ID. Attestation alone doesn't stop spam labels, so caller ID reputation still matters.
What support do you offer?
Human support Monday to Friday, 9am Eastern to 9pm Pacific, by phone, email and chat.
